What is your guess for the ice out date for Cedar River Watershed area?

Guess right and you get to say "told you so" for a whole year! But regardless of whether your guess is right or wrong--we will all be fishing open water pretty soon!

Sorry, when I posted this poll I didn't realize all the bugs were not worked out of this function. I think in order to "vote" you have to be a registered user and login. I know they are working on this at PRTC and will hopefully be able to get this fixed so non-registered guests can also vote.

Ice Out Poll

You do have to login to register a vote, I am told by PRTC. This prevents anyone from casting more than one vote.

My vote was originally May 4-6-- but I would like to change it to: Before May 1!

Early ice out, warmer water, post spawn walleyes oh my! Look for things to start out hot IF the weather around the opener continues to look like Spring.

Well who would have thought when I first posted this poll on March 13th, that almost exactly one month later the ice would be out on Wabaskang Lake and the rest of the Cedar River watershed! Although one of the poll options was "Before May 1", this one will go down in the record books as the earliest in history.

Time to check those rod guides, lube up those drags and spool up with some fresh line for 2010, let's all hope it's another great one!
