An odd thing happened at Peffley's-Week of August 29-Sept 5

Summer arrived! After a much anticipated wait of 15 weeks, summer finally made an appearance this week. Everyone was confused, including the fish as the walleyes I don't think knew whether to head for deep water (fall pattern) or stay in the weeds (summer pattern). Temperatures were consistently in the upper 70's to low 80's with heat indices of around 90, few clouds and a couple of days hardly a hint of wind. Quite uncharacteristic for September and d another dramatic change from the previous two weeks of weather!

For us it was back to limit trips, eating fish every day etc. Quite a change from the previous two weeks here on Wabby, but overall still some pretty good fishing especially considering the ODD weather pattern for the week.

Many happy guests who are already looking forward to next years trip and we can't wait to see you again!
